Former West Virginia wide receiver Sam James agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Rams and is signing an undrafted free agent deal with the team, they announced.
James has played in 50 games since 2018, catching 190 passes for 2,229 yards and 15 touchdowns. This past season in 2022, James had 46 catches for 745 yards and six touchdowns.
James ran A 4.5-second 40-yard dash at WVU’s Pro Day, and is able to offer teams the ability to get vertical down the field. James’ teammate Dante Stills was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, while fellow wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton also signed a UDFA deal with the New York Giants.
