Morgantown High School’s Sharron Young received his first power five offer on Thursday. That offer was from none other than West Virginia.
Young, a 6-foot, 150-pound guard, announced the offer on Twitter.
“After a great conversation with [Coach Huggins], I’m thankful and blessed to receive my first power five offer from West Virginia University. Thanks to everyone on the coaching staff who has been a part of my recruitment.”
Young took an unofficial visit to West Virginia back in February, and played his part in helping lead Morgantown to back-to-back state championships. In this year’s state championship game, Young finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
