There are less than two weeks left on the spring football calendar for the West Virginia football team. West Virginia forward will be joining the football team for that time, according to Mike Casazza of 247Sports.
Bell previously played offensive tackle, and currently stands at 6-foot-10, 285 pounds. Bell was a three-star football prospect in high school, but chose to go the basketball route instead.
Bell averaged 4.8 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game this season for the Mountaineers on the court.
West Virginia basketball is in offseason mode, and with the transfer portal option having seemingly limitless options, it could be possible to see Bell not be a starter next season depending on who head coach Bob Huggins brings in. Bell is still practicing with the basketball team, while football has practice today, Saturday, and twice more next week ahead of the Gold-Blue Spring Game on April 22.
Bell has two season of eligibility for football remaining, but only has one year left for basketball and has yet to make an official decision on if he is coming back next year for the Mountaineers for his fifth-year option or not.
