Former Mountaineer Jamel King finds new home

West Virginia’s Jamel King has officially found his new home.

King, who entered his name into the transfer portal last month, announced he will be transferring to Kennesaw State University.

King, who is from Uniontown, Alabama, played in eight games this season, averaging 1.5 points per game, 0.6 rebounds per game, and finishing with one steal for the Mountaineers. The 6-foot-7 forward, played a total of 30 minutes this season, after playing a total of 29 minutes in eight games a season ago.

King is joining Kennesaw State, a team who was a 14-seed in the NCAA Tournament this past season, losing to Xavier in the first round by five points.
