North Carolina men’s basketball transfer Puff Johnson has received interest from West Virginia.
Jon Rothstein reports Johnson has received interest from West Virginia among a number of other programs.
Johnson was used off the bench for Carolina this season, averaging 4.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game. Johnson struggled staying healthy at times, averaging 16.0 minutes per game this season.
Johnson played a role in North Carolina making it to the National Championship game last season, scoring 11 points in the title game against Kansas, as well as in a first round win over Marquette. Johnson scored more than 10 points only three times this season, and played at least 20 minutes in only eight of his 27 games played this year.
Johnson is from the West Virginia region, originally from Moon Township, Pennsylvania, but attended a prep high school in Arizona. Johnson is 6-foot-8, 200 pounds, and is a guard/forward.
