For the first time this season, West Virginia baseball is ranked. The Mountaineers — who are winners of nine straight — earned their spot in D1 Baseball’s Top 25 this week, ranking No. 24 in the country.
The Mountaineers are 15-4 this season and went a perfect 5-0 on the road this week, scoring a combined 76 runs in those five games. West Virginia is one of three Big 12 teams ranked, behind No. 14 Texas Tech and No. 20 Oklahoma State.
The Mountaineers are ranked 19th in the country in RPI, and begin conference play next weekend on the road against Kansas State.
