Radford University head men’s basketball coach and former West Virginia player and graduate Darris Nichols has been charged with driving under the influence.
Nichols, who played at WVU from 2004-2008, is currently in his second season at Radford. 10 News in Roanoke, Virginia, an NBC-affiliate said they reached out for comment from the university, with the response being, “Radford University is evaluating the situation and has no comment at this time.”
Nichols and Radford are 17-12 and 11-5 in the Big South Conference. Nichols played in 141 games across his career at WVU, and was a graduate assistant under Bob Huggins for a season.
