It’s a new week in college basketball and the Big 12 remains strong with their rankings in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
The Big 12 featured six teams ranked (again), while West Virginia was the only other team who received votes.
Texas is the highest ranked team in the poll, ranked No. 5, moving up five spots from a week ago. Following suit is Kansas at ninth, Iowa State at 11th, Kansas State at 12th, Baylor at 14th, and TCU at 17th.
The Mountaineers received five votes, which would put them at 38th in the country.
Purdue remained ranked the No. 1 team in the country despite a road loss to Indiana. Houston, Alabama, Arizona, and Texas round out the top five. All four teams in the top four received at least one first place vote, while Houston received 22.
