Former West Virginia football player Kyzir White is headed to the Super Bowl. White, a linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles, helped his team defeat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in the NFC Championship to send the Eagles to their fourth-ever Super Bowl.
White had spent his first four seasons in the league with the Los Angeles Chargers. In his first season with the Eagles, White had 110 tackles, 3.0 TFL’s, and 1.5 sacks.
White was a force on Sunday against the 49ers, finishing with a team-high six total tackles in their 31-7 win.
White played at West Virginia for two seasons in 2016 and 2017. In those two years, he registered 113 total tackles, 7.5 TFL’s, four forced fumbles, three interceptions and 1.0 sacks.
White and the Eagles will play the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Feb. 13, 2022 in Glendale, Arizona.
