Simply put, West Virginia’s secondary last year was bad.

The Mountaineers are continuing to try and change that narrative, this time offering Penn State cornerback Marquis Wilson.

Wilson, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound junior has been at Penn State since 2019. Wilson has played in 38 games in his career, including 11 games this past season. In those 11 games, Wilson had 20.0 total tackles, 1.5 TFL, 2.0 PD, and a forced fumble. In his career he has 57.0 tackles, two interceptions, seven passes defended, four forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.

Wilson is originally from Connecticut, attending Windsor High School.
