West Virginia wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton has his nest career goal of making it to the NFL. Ford-Wheaton will get that opportunity to prove himself as he has received an invite to the NFL Combine.
“Invited to the combine,” Ford-Wheaton said on Twitter Friday. “Thank you God.”
Ford-Wheaton could have returned for one final year of eligibility after he has been at WVU since 2018. Ford-Wheaton is a legacy Mountaineer, and was West Virginia’s best receiver this past season.
This season, Ford-Wheaton had 62 catches for 675 yards and seven touchdowns. In his career, Ford-Wheaton played in 33 games at West Virginia, catching 131 passes for 1,666 yards, and 13 touchdowns.
Ford-Wheaton made the decision not to return to West Virginia following the conclusion of West Virginia’s season last month.
