West Virginia wide receiver’s coach Tony Washington is leaving West Virginia’s coaching staff to join the Liberty coaching staff under new head coach Jamey Chadwell.
Matt Zenitz of On3Sports first reported the news.
Washington had spent one season at West Virginia and previously served under Chadwell at Coastal Carolina. Liberty hired Chadwell this offseason as their head coach Hugh Freeze left for Auburn.
West Virginia is experiencing an offseason which features a lot of turnover, as they lost Kaden Prather and Reese Smith to the transfer portal, as well as Bryce Ford-Wheaton and Sam James to the NFL Draft.
