West Virginia men’s basketball is finally ranked.
After not cracking the Associated Press Poll’s Top 25 all last season, the Mountianeers checked in at No. 24 on Monday.
West Virginia played only one game last week, an 11-point victory over Stony Brook. The Mountaineers had received votes throughout the beginning of the season, but this is their first time being ranked since Mar. 15, 2021, when West Virginia was ranked 13th in the country.
West Virginia heads into Big 12 play this week with a New Year’s Eve showdown on the road against Kansas State.
