West Virginia has now reached Big 12 play and the Mountaineers are entering a gauntlet of a schedule.
KenPomery is an advanced analytical tool which compares college basketball teams. West Virginia is currently ranked 21st by KenPom, while all 10 Big 12 teams are ranked inside the 52 by KenPom.
KenPom also gives a win percentage and projections for teams remaining schedule. The tool predicts the Mountaineers will go 9-9 in Big 12 play, and will finish with a 20-11 overall record. The Mountaineers have recorded more than nine wins five times since entering the Big 12 in 2012-2013.
KenPom gives the Mountaineers at least a 40% chance to win 15 of their 18 conference games.
