2023 Elijah Caldwell from South Carolina has de-committed from West Virginia ahead of National Signing Day on Wednesday.
Caldwell, a three-star wide receiver from Northwestern High School and Rock Hill, South Carolina, originally verbally committed to WVU on July 1.
“After praying and speaking about my decision with my parents and coaches, I have decided to de-commit from West Virginia University and explore my options,” Caldwell said on Twitter Monday.
This past season, Caldwell had 77 receptions for 1,365 yards and 19 touchdowns. The season prior, Caldwell had 77 catches for 1,247 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Caldwell recently picked up an offer from NC State.
