West Virginia wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton is declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft he announced on Wednesday.
Ford-Wheaton, has been at WVU since 2018. He would have one year of eligibility remaining, but decided to not use it and to enter the NFL Draft.
“I came to WVU in 2018 eager to continue the family tradition of outing up fro the old gold and blue. I was aware I had big shoes to fill, but, of course, I was up for the challenge,” Ford-Wheaton said on Twitter.”
This season, Ford-Wheaton had 62 catches for 675 yards and seven touchdowns. In his career, Ford-Wheaton played in 33 games at West Virginia, catching 131 passes for 1,666 yards, and 13 touchdowns.
“To Mountaineer Nation: Thank you for your unwavering support over these five years,” Ford-Wheaton said. “Suiting up on Saturdays knowing I was representing 1.8 [million] of the most loyal fans in college sports was nothing short of a blessing.”
“With this being said, I have decided to forgo my last season of legibility and declare for the 2023 NFL Draft.”
