For the second consecutive year, West Virginia’s Ceili McCabe has earned the Big 12 Cross Country Women’s of the Year.
McCabe, is a two-time Big 12 Champion, and placed 24th at the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships. Prior to competing in NCAA’s, McCabe had won every race she had competed in. This included her Big 12 Championship race and the NCAA Mid-Atlantic race.
Last Saturday at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, McCabe finished with a time of 23:20.2 in the Women’s 6K event. McCabe took home the Big 12 Championship, with a time of 20:08.4 in late October.
McCabe becomes the first Mountaineer to repeat as Big 12 Runner of the Year.
