Brown expecting Kaden Prather to return next week

West Virginia wide receiver Kaden Prather did not play on Saturday for the first time all season.

The sophomore did not dress in West Virginia’s 48-31 loss to No. 15 Kansas State, dealing with an injury.

“Kaden Prather was out today,” West Virginia head coach Neal Brown said. “If he could play, he would’ve been out there.”

This season, Prather has 50 catches, for 487 yards, and three touchdowns. Brown said Prather was dealing with an injury he sustained in last week’s game against Oklahoma, and if all goes to plan he should be available to play in West Virginia’s finale against Oklahoma State.

“It happened right at the end of the game. If you go back and watch the end of the game last week, you’ll see it and understand what he has,” Brown said. “If everything checks out he’ll play next week.”
