West Virginia offensive lineman James Gmiter’s football career appears to be over.
Gmiter tweeted on Sunday saying, “I’m going to miss this game. Thank you for everything.”
Gmiter has played in six games for the Mountaineers this season, with his last game being on Oct. 13 against Baylor.
Gmiter later retweeted a tweet which seems to be announcing his future career plans of becoming a police officer with the WVU Police Department, as Gmiter has one year of eligibility remaining.
