WVU lands highly-touted transfer Jose Perez

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Manhattan transfer Jose Perez will be transferring to West Virginia.

Perez has spent time at three schools, including Gardner-Webb, Marquette, and most recently Manhattan. At Manhattan, Perez averaged 18.9 points per game in the 2021-2022 season, including finishing with 4.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.

Perez was named the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, and stands at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds.

He entered the portal on Oct. 25, after Manhattan head coach Steve Masiello was recently fired.

Perez has one year of eligibility remaining.
