It was a good week for pro Mountaineers Geno Smith, Bruce Irvin, and David Long Jr. All three picked up wins this weekend, and contributed to their team’s success.
Smith once again led the Seattle Seahawks offense to another high-scoring affair. Smith and the Seahawks scored 37 points, with Smith passing for 210 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Smith now has 1,172 yards on the year and 11 touchdowns. With the Seahawks 37-23 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Seahawks are 4-3 and in first place in the NFC West. Irvin would see his first action of 2022 in this game, after signing with the Seahawks earlier this month. Irvin would finish with two tackles in the victory.
Long and the Tennessee Titans have won three of their last four games, and Long has made a huge impact in two of those games. Two weeks ago against the Washington Commanders, Long had a game-winning interception. This past weekend against the Indianapolis Colts, Long would record another interception, to go along with eight tackles in the 19-10 victory.
