The Big 12 Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll was released and it was not kind to the Mountaineers.
West Virginia received 20 points, good enough to be picked to finish ninth.
Baylor was picked to finish first in the Big 12, which is the second time in three years they have been selected. Baylor received five first place votes and 77 points overall. Kansas, who is coming off a national championship was picked to finish second, and received four first place votes. Texas was picked to finish third and they received one first place vote.
