Former Mountaineer Bruce Irvin is returning to the Seattle Seahawks according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Pelissero tweeted, “the Seahawks are signing their onetime first-round pick LB Bruce Irvin to the practice squad, per source.”
Irvin spent five total seasons in Seattle, from 2012-2015 and the 2020 season. In 60 games for the Seahawks, Irving started 39 games, had three interceptions, four forced fumbles, 138 tackles, and 26 TFL’s.
Irvin was with the Chicago Bears in 2021, playing in six games, and has played in 127 games in his career.
Irvin played with the Mountaineers in 2010 and 2011, finishing with 45 tackles and 22.5 sacks for West Virginia.
