Geno Smith continued his strong start to the season, while David Long Jr. had a clutch interception highlighting former Mountaineers’ performances this past week in the NFL.
With under 10 seconds to play and the Tennessee Titans backed up at their own goal line they needed to find a stop. That stop came in the form of Long, who intercepted a Carson Wentz pass to seal a 21-17 victory. Long would finish with 11 total tackles and the interception.
Quarterback Geno Smith once again put up big numbers, but the Seahawks could not hold on in a 39-32 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Smith passed for 268 yards and three touchdowns, including a 40-yard touchdown pass in the 4th quarter. Smith also now leads all quarterbacks in the NFL in passer rating.
