Geno Smith was simply sensational on Sunday in the Seattle Seahawks 48-45 win over the Detroit Lions. The quarterback used his arm and his legs to his advantage, passing for 320 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 49 yards and a score.
Smith rates out as the top overall quarterback in the NFL by Pro Football Focus this season, with an 84.5 grade. Smith has also completed 77.3% of his passes this season, which is the most by a quarterback ever through the first four games of a season.
Smith tweeted, “spoke things into the universe and they appeared,” following his performance on Sunday. His head coach Pete Carroll gave his quarterback major credit in the win after the game, as the Seahawks locker were engulfed in chants of “‘Geno,’ Geno,’ Geno.'”
Rasul Douglas continued to help the Green Bay Packers in whatever way he can, as they picked up a 27-24 overtime win against the New England Patriots. Douglas finished the game with four total tackles and one TFL.
Kyzir White had a similar outing to Douglas’. White and the Philadelphia Eagles played the Jacksonville Jaguars as the rain poured down. White had four total tackles in the Eagles’ 29-21 win as they are the only undefeated team left in the NFL after four weeks.
Colton McKivitz made his fifth career start on Monday night as the San Francisco 49ers played host to the Los Angeles Rams. McKivitz was able to make the start after the 49ers lost Trent Williams to injury. Unfortunately for McKivitz though, he suffered an MCL sprain and now he will be out for the near future.
David Long continued his strong season, having seven total tackles for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, while also finishing with one TFL in their 24-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
