Texas starting quarterback, Quinn Ewers, is officially ruled out for tonight’s game against West Virginia, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Ewers, a redshirt freshman, and former 5-star quarterback, sustained a shoulder injury in Texas’s 20-19 loss against No. 1 Alabama on September 10th.
Since Ewers’s injury, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has turned to sophomore Hudson Card, who was a high 4-star recruit coming out of high school.
Since the injury to Ewers, Card has completed 49-of-75 passes, and has thrown three touchdowns compared to one interception.
