West Virginia forward Lauren Segalla has been named the WVU student athlete of the week for her performance against Iowa State.
Segalla scored the only two goals of the match in a 2-0 victory at Cyclone Sports Complex in the 66th and 73rd minute.
Her brace helped WVU earn their first conference win of the season. This was the first two-goal performance by a Mountaineer since Oct. 17, 2021. The brace was Segalla’s second of her career, with her first coming last season also against Iowa State on Sept. 24, 2021.
The Mountaineers will return home for their next match for their conference home opener against Kansas at 7 p.m..
