Geno Smith named week one starter for Seahawks

Former WVU quarterback Geno Smith has been named the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks in Week One.

Before joining the Seahawks Smith played for the New York Jets and Los Angeles Chargers.


Last year he played in four games and had a total of five touchdowns and one interception while passing for 702 yards.

During his playing time with the Mountaineers Smith accumulated 98 touchdowns and 11,662 passing yards with a completion percentage of 67.4%.

He will make his season debut against the Denver Broncos on September 12th.
