WVU loses a pair of commitments in 2023 class

Two players from the same high school who had verbally committed to West Virginia in the class of 2023 have decided to reopen their recruitment.

Four-star quarterback Raheim Jeter tweeted “after much thought and consideration, I have decided that it is best to decommit from the university of West Virginia.” Jeter, had been committed since December of 2021, and his teammate at Spartanburg High School in South Carolina in Cam Jackson, also decided to de-commit from WVU.

Jackson, a three-star defensive lineman also committed with Jeter back in December. Jackson tweeted, “my recruiting is 100% open.” Jackson announced this Saturday afternoon, before Jeter made his decision public Saturday night.

WVU’s 2023 class now has 16 commitments and they are now back on the search for a quarterback.
