Former West Virginia quarterback Pat White is joining the Los Angeles Chargers coaching staff as an offensive assistant.
The former Mountaineer spent last years training camp with the Chargers as part of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship. White has most recently been on the coaching staff at Campbell University. Prior to Campbell, White was at Alcorn State, South Florida, and Alabama State.
At WVU, White was a back-to-back Big East Offensive Player of the Year and threw for 6,051 yards and 56 touchdowns, to go along with 4,480 yards and 47 touchdowns on the ground.
White was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft, and played in 13 games during his rookie season. White then spent some of the 2013 season with Washington.
