Backyard Brawl to be first stop for College GameDay

The Backyard Brawl was already set to be the grand opening of the college football season, and now the lights on the stage have gotten even brighter.

On Thursday, it was announced ESPN’s College GameDay will be in Pittsburgh at the Backyard Brawl. GameDay features host Rece Davis, who is joined by Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and David Pollack.

ESPN says the show will be live from inside Acrisure Stadium, airing at 6 p.m. ahead of the game. This is the shows 422nd show and their third ever visit to Pitt.

WVU and Pitt are set to kickoff at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 1.
