The 2022 NBA Summer League is in full swing. Which means first and second year players get to show the basketball world their skills and talents for their respected NBA teams.

Former West Virginia star, Miles Mcbride is entering his second year with the New York Knicks. So far in this year’s summer league he has proven that he can be an effective player for the Knicks. His scoring, playmaking, and defensive abilities make him a valuable player for any team’s roster.

In his first summer league game this year he put up 14 points and 7 assists in 31 minutes of play in a 101-88 win against the Warriors.. On Sunday against the Bulls, he shot 6-for-8 with 14 points and 6 assists. The Knicks would go on to win this game 101-69 making them 2-0 on the young summer league season.

Last night against the Portland Trail Blazers, McBride showed his versatitilty on both ends of the floor, finishing with 16 points to go along with three steals.

McBride has a field goal percentage of 45.5% and a 3-point percentage of 35%. While he’s been able to shoot the basketball well, he’s also been able to take command of the court and find his open teammates by averaging 5.7 assists per game.

On the defensive end, he’s making his opponents work and making them feel uncomfortable. With help from his quick feet and hands he is averaging 2.3 steals a game.

The 2022 Summer League is set to go until Sunday, July 17, with the teams final schedueld game coming against the Orlando Magic on Thursday at 7:30pm.
