The WVU football class of 2022 has officially arrived in Morgantown. As Neal Brown’s recruiting success
has brought versatile talent to the program, let’s recap the 2022 commits who have just set foot on
campus.

Jacolby Spells
Cornerback Jacolby Spells was a top recruit for WVU’s 2022 class as he was the highest-rated player of
the group at No. 137 in the ESPN 300.
Spells stands out as a defensive back because of his speed; also a track standout, Spells runs the 100-
meter dash in 10.79 seconds.
During his junior and senior seasons, Spells totaled 53 tackles and led his team to a state championship
in 2020.
The four-star recruit is expected to compete for a spot in the cornerback rotation as a true freshman.

Travious Lathan
Travious Lathan was highly decorated with Power 5 offers, but after narrowing his decision down to
West Virginia and Pitt, Lathan committed to the Mountaineers in August 2021. With Lathan’s
commitment, the Mountaineers moved into the top 20 recruiting class for 2022.
The linebacker from Miami, Florida, stands at 6-foot-2, 202 pounds and will add depth to the linebacker
room. Lathan is expected to compete for a starting spot early in his career.

Corbin Page
Huntington native Corbin Page was the highest-ranked prospect from West Virginia as a tight end in the
2022 class. The three-star tight end ranked in the top-30 nationally for his position and his commitment
marks the second time Neal Brown has landed the top recruit in West Virginia.
Page stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 245 pounds and was the first 2022 prospect to announce his
commitment in late 2020. In his 2020 season, Page had 18 receptions in eight games for 440 yards and
11 touchdowns.

Landen Livingston
Landen Livingston was ranked as the No. 25 interior offensive lineman in the country as he committed to
West Virginia in the summer of 2021. The lineman stands out as a top prospect due to his agility despite
his size at 6-foot-4, 280 pounds.
The Indiana native chose West Virginia over several Power 5 offers including Arizona State, Indiana,
Michigan State, Minnesota and Purdue.

Raleigh Collins III
Three-star prospect Raleigh Collins III committed to the Mountaineers in July 2021, choosing West
Virginia over Penn State. Collins attended a one-day camp with the Mountaineers and impressed the
coaching staff, urging him to return for an official visit.
The linebacker out of Philadelphia stands out due to his speed and mobility; Collins played cornerback
and safety in high school and has strong pursuit skills that will allow him to excel at linebacker. His
versatility will allow him to fit in several spots on the Mountaineer’s defense.

Sullivan Weidman
Offensive lineman Sullivan Weidman became the third commit of the 2022 class, joining commit Charlie
Kata on the line. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound tackle chose WVU over offers from Indiana and Nebraska.
Weidman was a prime recruiting target for Brown due to his height and agility and is expected to
compete for a spot in the rotation as practices begin.

Maurice Hamilton
Cleveland Heights native Maurice Hamilton is a 345-pound offensive lineman who has been described as
“physically dominant” against opponents. The three-star commit was ranked as the nation’s No. 40
interior offensive lineman.
Hamilton led his high school team to a 15-5 record over his sophomore and junior seasons and earned
the nickname “Mr. Pancake.” He chose WVU over Iowa State and Purdue.

Jeremiah Aaron
Junior college standout Jeremiah Aaron just arrived in Morgantown after time at Navarro College in
Texas. Aaron totaled 911 yards with 49 receptions at Navarro, averaging 18.6 yards per catch and
earning 8 touchdowns.
Aaron may have the opportunity to provide immediate receiver depth for the Mountaineers as his speed
and route running sets him apart as a receiver.

De’Carlo Donaldson
De’Carlo Donaldson, a three-star tight end out of Miami, Florida, committed to West Virginia following
his official visit in December 2021. Although Donaldson was late in the recruiting cycle, his versatility
could earn him some playing time his freshman year.
Donaldson had an impressive senior season, catching 81 passes for 1,164 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Asani Redwood
Georgia native Asani Redwood selected WVU over offers from Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky and East
Tennessee State. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive end creates pressure for offenses with his physical
strength and power up front.
Redwood finished his final season with 116 tackles, 43 tackles for loss and 19 sacks, leading his high
school team to a state championship title.

Charlie Katarincic
West Virginia was the first program to offer Charlie Katarincic in January 2021. The offensive lineman
stands at 6-foot-5, 280 pounds and was interested in WVU’s program as soon as he was contacted by
the offensive line coach, Matt Moore.
Katarincic is expected to develop into a key player for WVU as he gets in the weight room with strength coach Mike Joseph.
