On Monday afternoon, Iowa transfer guard Joe Toussaint announced he will transfer to West Virginia to play for the Mountaineers during the 2022-2023 season.

Toussaint played three seasons for the Hawkeyes and averaged 4.3 points and 3.2 assists per game in those seasons. Toussaint also shot 42% from the field in his last two seasons at Iowa.
With the departures of Taz Sherman and Sean McNeil, Toussaint will be an important addition to the backcourt for head coach Bob Huggins.
Huggins also brought in South Carolina transfer guard Erik Stevenson a week ago, so Toussaint and Stevenson will join veterans Kedrian Johnson and Kobe Johnson for the new look WVU backcourt.
