No. 18 West Virginia dropped a ranked Big 12 matchup at No. 25 Baylor, here are some takeaways from the game.
West Virginia had a tough time efficiently scoring in this one as they shot 36.5% from the field and 24% from the three-point line. Baylor shot 50% from the field and three. Jordan Harrison and JJ Quinerly were the only two Mountaineers in double-digits; Harrison had 20, and Quinerly had 17. Meanwhile Baylor had four of their five starters in double-digits.
WVU once again won the turnover battle, which they have done so many times this season, forcing 16 Baylor turnovers but were only able to turn those into 12 points.
Baylor was able to have their way in the paint in this game with 32 points, while WVU had 28.
West Virginia dropped this ranked matchup by a score of 75-65. They are now 19-5 on the season and 9-4 in Big 12 play, which ranks them sixth in the conference.
WVU will need to bounce back Saturday, Feb. 15th, at home at 2:00 pm EST when they host Cincinatti. The game will be televised on ESPN+.
