WVU has gotten another player out of the transfer portal, with freshman linebacker Ashton Woods announcing his commitment to the Mountaineers.
Woods spent his freshman season at UNC in 2024, appearing in six games over the course of the season but never recorded a stat.
Woods entered his name into the transfer portal before UNC’s Fenway Bowl Matchup with UConn. He will have three years of eligibility remaining when he joins the Mountaineers.
Woods was a three-star recruit just a year ago and decided to commit to UNC over the likes of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas State, and Pitt, which he held offers from.
