Ahead of West Virginia’s road game against Cincinnati this week, head coach Neal Brown gave an injury update.
He said that quarterback Garrett Greene is doubtful to suit up and play against the Bearcats on Saturday. Greene has been out since the first half of the Mountaineers’ loss against Kansas State.
This season, he has thrown for 1,352 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions, completing just over 56% of his passes. On the ground, he’s added 471 yards and three touchdowns.
It’s shaping up to be another start for Nicco Marchiol who helped propel WVU to a win over Arizona before the bye week. He was 18-of-22 passing for 198 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-26 win.
Brown completely ruled out safety Aubrey Burks, cornerback Ayden Garnes and wide receiver Jaden Bray. All three have been out for several games.
Saturday’s game kicks off at noon EST and will be televised on FS1.
