Six Mountaineer Wrestlers Rank in Top 25

After a successful season last year, WVU wrestling is ready to compete on the national stage again this fall and winter with six wrestlers ranked in FloWrestling’s top 25 of their respective weight classes.

West Virginia’s 125-pounder Jett Strickenberger ranks at No. 18. He is coming off of his first season with WVU after being a JUCO national champion. He was an NCAA qualifier last year and was a Southeast Open champion.

Jordan Titus is ranked No. 15 at 141. The redshirt junior qualified for the NCAA tournament for a second time last year, was a Southeast Open Champion, finished sixth in the Big 12 tournament and was dubbed the team’s most improved wrestler.

Ty Watters is West Virginia’s highest-ranked wrestler, coming in at No. 3 at 149. As a freshman last season, he was an All-American, placing fourth at the NCAA tournament and was a Big 12 champion.

Peyton Hall, a fifth-year, is ranked at No. 4 at 165. He is a four-time NCAA qualifier and two-time All-American. He placed seventh last year in the NCAA tournament and fourth in the Big 12 tournament at 165.

Brody Conley is ranked No. 23 in the 174-pound weight class. As a redshirt freshman last season, he was an NCAA qualifier and a Shorty Hitchcock Classic Champion.

Dennis Robin is ranked No. 24 in the 184-pound weight class. He finished seventh in the Big 12 tournament and picked up three wins over ranked opponents last season.
