After five years as a collegiate sharpshooter and defensive stopper, former Mountaineer Lauren Fields will be taking the next step of her life at Indiana as a graduate manager.
Indiana Women’s Basketball made the announcement on X Monday afternoon that Fields would be one of two graduate managers for their upcoming season. She will be doing so alongside Indiana’s all-time leading scorer Mackenzie Holmes, who will be with the team during her offseason from the Seattle Storm in the WNBA.
Fields ended her playing career last season at West Virginia after playing three seasons at Oklahoma State and one at Arizona. She averaged 2.3 steals per game with the Mountaineers, the fourth most in the Big 12 behind teammates JJ Quinerly, Jordan Harrison, and Kyah Watson.
WVU also utilized Fields as a three-point shooter last season, as she averaged 32.7 percent from three in the regular season before going 2-for-17 from distance in the postseason. Fields ended last season with averages of 9.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.3 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game on 36 percent from the field and 31 percent from three.
