During WVU’s spring game on Saturday, the winners of the Iron Mountaineer Awards as well as the Tommy Nickolich Award were announced.
Avery Wilcox, a redshirt-junior, was award with the Nickolich Award, presented by Blue & Gold News to a walk-on every year.
Wilcox is in his fourth season at WVU, and is a big part of the Mountaineers’ special teams units. He played in every game last season, playing 97 snaps on special teams.
The Iron Mountaineer Award winners were Wyatt Milum, Sean Martin, Preston Fox, Garrett Greene, and Austin Brinkman.
