On Friday it was announced that WVU Rifle’s Griffin Lake won the Collegiate Rifle Coach Association Rookie of the Year award.
Lake, a freshman from Emmanus, Pennsylvania has a career-best of 593 in small borne and 619.4 in air rifle. He shot a 587 in the air rifle relay during the NCAA Rifle Championships on day one and 590 on day two.
He was also selected as a Top U-18 in the 2023 Junior Olympics.
As a team WVU Rifle finished as the National runner-up, in second place behind TCU.
