As West Virginia center Zach Frazier continues to prepare for the NFL draft, he has received high praise from many NFL analysts, especially Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network.
Frazier landed at No. 37 on Jeremiah’s Top 50 NFL Draft prospect rankings published on Jan. 30.
“He is a bulldog, collecting one knockdown after another to finish plays,” Jeremiah said in his rankings.
“Frazier was a four-time state wrestling champion in high school and he carries that tenacity over to the football field. He will be a Day 1 starter and tempo setter for the team that drafts him.”
After breaking his leg in a late win over Baylor on Nov. 25, 2023, Frazier has quickly progressed in his recovery and gave an injury update at the Senior Bowl in which he could not participate.
However, Frazier said that he should be fully cleared for the NFL combine and should “definitely” be able to run at West Virginia’s Pro Day.
Frazier, the 6-foot-3 310-pound mauler from Fairmont, West Virginia has started 47 games in four years at WVU, including nine at left guard as a freshman and the rest at center.
He is currently projected to be selected in the second to third round of the NFL draft but could see his draft stock rise based on performances in the combine and pro-day.
