As West Virginia women’s basketball continues their undefeated start to the campaign, they are beginning to get national attention.
After receiving one vote last week, the Mountaineers received 21 votes this week in the AP Top 25. West Virginia coasted to a pair of wins, including over No. 25 Penn State, who this week received only three votes.
WVU’s 21 votes would rank No. 29 in the country, behind TCU (22), Washington State (23), and Washington (25). North Carolina checked in at No. 25 this week, receiving 37 votes.
The Mountaineers are off this week as the fall semester concludes with finals, and they have two more non-conference games before they begin Big 12 play on Dec. 30 on the road against Kansas.
WVU is currently 9-0, and they rank 21st in the country in the NET Rankings.
