West Virginia is back to a full number of scholarships following the addition of Noah Farrakhan on Thursday.
Farrakhan is a 6-foot-2 guard from Eastern Michigan. who will need a waiver to play but has multiple years of eligibility remaining.
This is another guard on WVU’s roster, however he could be a guy who is not a plug and play type. However, if the waiver is denied, then WVU will most likely still add through the portal. Also just because their scholarships are fully taken does not mean they are full roster capacity wise.
G- RaeQuan Battle, Jeremiah Bembry, Noah Farrakhan, Kobe Johnson, Kerr Kriisa, Jose Perez, Seth Wilson
F- Akok Akok, Jesse Edwards, Josiah Harris, Ofri Naveh, Quinn Slazinski, Patrick Suemnick
WVU’s roster still has two waivers that need to be granted for Battle and Farrakhan to be eligible to play this year. Out of this group, this is the seventh new addition of the offseason and the eighth if you count Jose Perez.
WVU’s roster seems to be building for the future as well as for the present despite the interim tag on head coach Josh Eilert.
WVU has three guys who are in their final year of eligibility (Battle, Edwards, Perez). Following that is a pair of seniors who will have another year of eligibility (Kriisa and Slazinski). Beyond that, there are four juniors (including Farrakhan), a sophomore (Harris), a redshirt-freshman (Bembry), and a true freshman (Naveh).
