Bob Huggins has now landed his fourth commitment of the 2022 offseason, this time, with Jimmy Bell Jr. committing to come play for Huggins and the Mountaineers.
Bell, who is a 6-foot-10, 280 pound forward, spent this past season at Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri. This past season, Bell averaged 9.3 points per game, to go along with 9.1 rebounds per game, 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting 59% from the field.
Bell, spent his prior two seasons at Saint Louis, where he averaged 3.1 points per game, and 2.6 rebounds per game in 50 games played across two seasons.
Bell, visited West Virginia this past weekend, and it was a good enough visit for him to make his commitment to the Mountaineers. West Virginia beat out Oakland, East Tennessee State, and Sam Houston State.
Bell joins Erik Stevenson, Mohamed Wague, and Joe Toussaint as transfers coming to West Virginia this offseason, while him and Wague both came from the junior college level, compared to Stevenson and Toussaint who transferred in from other power five programs.
Bell has two years of eligibility remaining.
