Another week has passed by and the Big 12 has been one of the best conferences in women’s college basketball.
In the latest AP Poll, the Big 12 has five teams represented in it: Texas at seventh, Kansas State at eighth, Baylor at 18th, West Virginia at 22nd and Oklahoma at 24th.
As of games through Feb. 8, every team is currently sitting at or above .500 on the season.
Let’s take a look at each Big 12 team and how they fared in games over the last week. This list is sorted alphabetically.
No. 18 Baylor (17-5, 6-5 Big 12)
This past Sunday, Baylor won a road game against Houston 83-60. Houston kept it close in the first half, then Baylor ran away with it in the second half.
This past Wednesday, Baylor lost a road game against BYU 78-66. Baylor never led in this one as BYU pulled off the upset win on its home court.
Up next for Baylor is a home game against No. 22 West Virginia on Saturday. After that is a road game against Oklahoma on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
BYU (13-11, 3-8 Big 12)
Last Saturday, BYU lost a home game against No. 23 West Virginia 76-69. BYU never led in this one though they did rally but that rally was held off by West Virginia for the win.
This past Wednesday, BYU won a home game against No. 18 Baylor 78-66. BYU never trailed in this one as they pulled off the upset win on its home court.
Up next for BYU is a road game against Cincinnati on Saturday. After that is a road game against UCF on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
Cincinnati (12-10, 4-7 Big 12)
Last Saturday, Cincinnati won a home game against Texas Tech 74-56. Cincinnati only trailed early in the first quarter as they took care of business on its home court with a strong fourth quarter.
This past Wednesday, Cincinnati won a road game against UCF 67-61. The game was tightly contested throughout and Cincinnati managed to squeak out the win.
Up next for Cincinnati is a home game against BYU on Saturday. After that is a road game against Kansas on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
Houston (12-11, 3-9 Big 12)
This past Sunday, Houston lost a home game against No. 13 Baylor 83-60. Houston kept it close in the first half, then Baylor ran away with it in the second half.
Thursday, Houston lost a road game against Kansas 69-52. Houston never led in this one as Kansas took care of business on its home court.
Up next for Houston is a home game against Texas on Wednesday, Feb. 14. After that is a road game against Oklahoma State on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Iowa State (13-8, 7-4 Big 12)
Last Saturday, Iowa State lost a road game against UCF 71-66. The game was tightly contested throughout and UCF managed to squeak out the win.
Iowa State was off during the weekdays this week and up next is a home game against No. 24 Oklahoma on Saturday. After that is a home game against Kansas State on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
Kansas (13-10, 6-6 Big 12)
Last Saturday, Kansas won a road game against TCU 81-74. The game was tightly contested throughout and Kansas managed to squeak out the win.

No. 24 Oklahoma (16-6, 10-1 Big 12)
Last Saturday, Oklahoma won a Bedlam Series on the road against Oklahoma State 81-74. The game was tightly contested throughout and Oklahoma managed to squeak out the win.
This past Wednesday, Oklahoma won a home game against TCU 72-55. TCU kept it close in the first half, then Oklahoma ran away with it in the second half.

Texas Tech (16-8, 5-6 Big 12)
Last Saturday, Texas Tech lost a road game against Cincinnati 74-56. Texas Tech only led in the first quarter as Cincinnati took care of business on its home court with a strong fourth quarter.
This past Tuesday, Texas Tech lost a road game against No. 22 West Virginia 82-59. Texas Tech only led early in the first quarter as West Virginia cruised to an easy victory in this one.

UCF (11-10, 2-9 Big 12)

No. 22 West Virginia (20-2, 9-2 Big 12)
Last Saturday, West Virginia won a road game against BYU 76-69. West Virginia never trailed in this one though they did need to hold off a BYU rally for the win.
This past Tuesday, West Virginia won a home game against Texas Tech 82-59. West Virginia only trailed early in the first quarter as they cruised to an easy victory in this one.
Up next for West Virginia is a Top 25 showdown on the road against No. 18 Baylor on Saturday. After that is a road game against TCU on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
