Through five games of conference play, the Big 12 has already gone through its’ regularly scheduled chaos that many fans anticipate every year from what many believe is one of, if not, the best conference in the country.
Since the last AP poll rankings were released, we have seen four games where an unranked opponent took down a ranked opponent, with two of those coming on Saturday after Texas handed then No. 6 Baylor their second straight unranked loss, and West Virginia upset then No. 3 ranked Kansas in Morgantown.
In the newest AP poll, the Big 12 has half of the conference in the top 25 with two teams in the top 10, as Houston sits at No. 4 and Kansas at No. 8. Outside the top 10 are four more teams from the Big 12 with Oklahoma being ranked No. 11, followed by Baylor at No. 16, Texas Tech at No. 20, BYU at No. 21 and Iowa State at No. 23.
TCU, who fell out of the rankings this week are among those receiving votes along with Kansas State and Texas.
