The West Virginia Mountaineers have announced their uniforms for game eight against the undefeated TCU Horned Frogs.
The Mountaineers will be bringing out the classic blue helmets, blue jerseys with gold pants.
This uniform is widely known as WVU’s “traditional” look, and with it being homecoming week, it just makes sense to get back to the basics.
The last five times WVU has worn the blue, blue, gold combination is as follows:
- 2021 vs. Iowa State (38-31 WVU)
- 2020 vs. Kansas (38-17 WVU)
- 2019 vs. James Madison (20-13 WVU)
- 2018 vs. Oklahoma (59-56 Oklahoma)
- 2018 vs. Baylor (58-14 WVU)
- 2016 vs. Youngstown State (38-21 WVU)
You can see the Mountaineers take the field in these uniforms on Saturday against the 7-0 TCU Horned Frogs. Kickoff is set for noon from Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, WV.
