After an impressive week for shortstop Brodie Kresser, he was announced as the baseball team’s performer of the week.
Kresser has been a key component to the Mountaineers seven game win streak with a .429 batting average, one home run, three doubles, six RBIs, eight runs, and a stolen base in the last five games.
In game two of a three game series against Utah, Kresser went 3-5 at the plate with four RBIs and a homerun.
This is Kresser’s second season in Morgantown after transferring from Des Moines Area Community College after the 2022-23 season.
Since joining the Mountaineers, Kresser has been a key contributor in the lineup. Last season he started 42 games for the Mountaineers with a .278 batting average, four home runs, 24 RBIs and led the team with 12 stolen bases.
Kresser and the Mountaineers look forward as they travel to Houston for a three game series starting Friday, April 11.
