Rich Rodriguez fires up the team after spring practice

West Virginia football has completely revamped its roster and coaching staff, and first-year head coach Rich Rodriguez is trying to create a culture at WVU that has not been found in recent years.

“I want you to go through hard stuff, become closer, and then have a winning locker room. For the rest of your life, that will be the best time of your life,” he said after practice earlier today.

Rich Rodrigues is known for his hard-nosed coaching and the spirit and energy he brings to the locker room and practice every day. With a brand new roster, Rodriguez needs to show that it is a full-team effort and that WVU has the guys to create a winning environment.

“Success is best shared, so when we have success, these are the people you are going to share it with, and you will never forget it,” Rodriguez added.

The Mountaineer’s spring game is scheduled for April 5th, where fans can see if Rodriguez’s team-oriented mentality will translate onto the football field.
